Description:
“Advances in Sample Preparation” organizes a Special Issue dedicated to the annual theme of EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network. The theme for the year 2021 is Green Sample Preparation, highlighting the strong commitment of the members of our community towards accelerating transition to a sustainable future. This Special Issue will collect original high-quality contributions that propose sustainable practices and technologies consistent with the green analytical chemistry principles. Green sample preparation can be the driving force to expand basic research in sample preparation. More importantly, the application of environmentally benign sample preparation methods is one of the social responsibilities of the analysts as it aligns with pollution abatement and the principles of Sustainable Development.
This Special Issue invites original high-quality research articles and reviews describing the latest advances in green sample preparation. Areas of interest include but are not limited to:
-Sustainable materials as sorbents
-Elimination or replacement of hazardous reagents and solvents
-Minimization or elimination of waste
-Direct coupling of sample preparation methods with detection techniques
-Fast and energy-saving sample preparation methods
-On-site extractions and innovative sampling procedures
-Miniaturization of sample preparation methods
-Integration of sample preparation steps
-Automation
