Description:

The 1st European Sample Preparation Conference is the first of a series of events to be organized by the EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network and is supported by the European Chemical Society (EuChemS). In this challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be held entirely virtually from 11 - 12 March, 2021. The aims of the event are to bring together all members of our Network to discuss new advancements in the field, and at the same time, trigger new ideas from fruitful panel discussions. The motto of the 1st European Sample Prep Conference is "Green Sample Preparation". The scope of this conference contains four main topics: a) New technologies, techniques and extraction phases; b) New applications; c) Theoretical and fundamental aspects of technologies and d) Automation in sample preparation. This conference opens the gate for all challenging ideas, aspects and problems in Sample Preparation. And more than that... In the virtual area of this wonderful event, during two days, a large pool of new results and brainstorming solutions will be available to all participants.

The selected collection of submitted manuscripts, based on the results presented on the 1st European Sample Prep Conference, will be published as a Virtual Special Issue in Analytical Chimica Acta, Journal of Chromatography A and Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy. We hope that this issue will meet all current demands, in line with challenging time and high expectation for "greener" future.
